Profile
My name is Mattie, I am an Illustrator and Graphic Designer with 4+ years of professional experience creating highly illustrative, graphic-led digital assets for global brands. I have an infatuation with how we interact with the world visually. I am fascinated by the concept of escapism and expression of the mind, which supplements my passion for art. Artistic expression, whether it's through illustration, graphic design, animation or music enables me to channel a wild and creative imagination into something that hopefully speaks to people.
Experience
Ontop of receiving A* in Art and Design at GSCE and A-Level, I studied BA Illustration for 3 years at Arts University Bournemouth, and received First Class Honours upon graduation in 2020. From here I was lucky enough to work 2 years in the Performance Marketing Department at the Video Game development studio ‘King’ before joining full-time as an internal Graphic Designer. I worked on its four most popular series: Candy Crush Saga, Bubble Witch Saga, Pet Rescue Saga, and Farm Heroes Saga.

I then joined the London design agency Eight&Four to continue my work with King within a specialised team.

Independently I have produced branding and logos for dozens of musicians and record labels, which entails varying graphic content from social media promotional material, to banners, posters and animated videos.
Tools
I have professional ability in Adobe Photoshop, actively employing it since I was 14 years old, and am now capable of navigating through a variety of software such as Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Blender, Pixelmator and Final Cut Pro to complete hand-drawn animations and Video edits. I utilise a Wacom drawing tablet and am also competent in sound design in Ableton Live.
